China | Mine Water Advanced Treatment Project In Ordos, Inner Mongolia

In September 2024, YHR Tanks successfully completed an advanced mine water treatment project in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. This initiative demonstrates our capability to provide high-performance storage solutions for the complex demands of mine water purification. Utilizing our Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS) bolted tank technology, we delivered a comprehensive system to treat and recycle mine water, supporting sustainable water management in the mining industry.

Project Highlights

The Inner Mongolia Ordos project required a multi-stage water treatment system to process mine water effectively, removing contaminants and enabling reuse. YHR Tanks supplied a total of 13 Glass-Fused bolted steel tanks, each tailored to a specific stage of the treatment process:

  • Raw Water Tank: Stores untreated mine water as the initial input for processing.

  • Pretreatment Product Water Tank: Holds water post-initial treatment, preparing it for advanced filtration.

  • Organic Ultrafiltration Product Water Tank: Supports organic matter removal through ultrafiltration technology.

  • Primary and Secondary Hardness Removal Product Water Tanks: Facilitates a two-step hardness reduction process for cleaner water output.

  • Ceramic Ultrafiltration 1 & 2 Product Water Tanks: Enhances purification with dual ceramic ultrafiltration stages.

  • Reuse Water Tank: Stores fully treated water ready for recycling or safe discharge.

With tank sizes ranging from Φ4.58m x 8.4m to Φ9.17m x 12m, our GFS tanks provided the durability and flexibility needed for this large-scale operation. The glass-fused-to-steel coating ensures exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear, critical for handling the chemically aggressive nature of mine water. The bolted design enabled rapid assembly, allowing the project to be completed on schedule in September 2024.
